Why This Campaign
The digital space is now one of the most important arenas of democracy.
Citizens receive political information through social media posts, short videos, messaging platforms and digital communities. This has opened new possibilities for participation, but it has also created new dangers.
False claims can travel faster than facts. Hate can be organised. Propaganda can look like public opinion. Democratic institutions can be discredited through repeated narratives. Social harmony can be weakened through fear and division.
We believe this moment needs disciplined digital leadership. 1885.in is a response to that need.
It will build a trusted network of 72 Digital Representatives who can defend constitutional values, counter misinformation and strengthen Rahul Gandhi’s message across India.
