1885.in is a national digital leadership initiative to identify 72 trusted Digital Representatives from across India.
Why is this campaign needed?
We believe India’s Constitution, democracy, public truth and social harmony need stronger digital defence. The campaign will identify disciplined digital leaders who can counter misinformation and strengthen democratic communication.
Why is it called 1885?
The name is inspired by the first Indian National Congress session in 1885, where 72 representatives came together and helped begin a national political journey.
Why 72 Digital Representatives?
The initiative is inspired by the 72 representatives who attended the first Indian National Congress session in 1885. 1885.in will identify 72 trusted Digital Representatives from across India.
Is this a volunteer programme?
No. This is a selective digital leadership initiative. It is designed to identify trusted, disciplined and skilled digital communicators.
Who can apply?
Anyone with strong digital communication skills, political understanding, respect for facts, discipline, constitutional commitment and alignment with Rahul Gandhi’s message may apply.
Can I recommend someone else?
Yes. You can recommend a trusted digital worker through the recommendation form.
What will selected representatives do?
They will help defend constitutional values, lead digital communication, counter misinformation, create content, bring local issues into national conversation and maintain digital discipline.
Will selected representatives receive training?
Yes. Selected representatives may receive digital communication training, content toolkits, message briefs, campaign briefs and coordination support.
Is abusive language allowed?
No. 1885.in is built on facts, dignity and discipline. Abuse, hate speech and misinformation are not allowed.
